Each unit is structured the same way.:

Letter & Read Aloud

  • The first lesson is always a letter from the main character of the unit’s story. This introduces the SEL topic and gets students thinking about it. Students then write back to the character! We encourage you to upload a picture of the letter and tag @Peekapak. One of the characters may just write back to your class!

  • The second lesson is the story read aloud. This also includes before, during, and after comprehension questions. When you click on the unit story, you can change the reading level in the top right corner. You can also play the story as an audiobook.

    • For older grades, the story is split into lesson 1 and 2 due to increased length.
