The check-in tool is designed to help students reflect on and share how they're feeling. It's a wellness and self-reflection resource, not a diagnostic or evaluative one. The results are not used to assess or grade students in any way.
To make this clear, a disclaimer now appears directly on the check-in tool page. This text is visible to both educators and students every time the check-in tool is opened, so there's no ambiguity about its purpose.
For students, the disclaimer appears at the bottom of the check-in tool page in myPeekaville.
For educators, the disclaimer appears in the bottom left-hand corner of the page when they click into the Check-in Tool tab on their teacher platform.
Where to find it
Students:
Log in to your account.
If you haven't checked in yet, you'll land on the check-in tool automatically. The disclaimer text appears at the bottom of the check-in tool.
Educators:
Log in to your account.
From the Library, click the Check-in Tool tab in the menu header.
The disclaimer text appears in the bottom left-hand corner of the page.
